Terms of agreement

Last updated: 26 May 2026.

These terms govern your use of the Caramink storefront, services, memberships, and any related products. By using the site, placing an order, or attending a Caramink appointment you accept these terms, which are governed by Nigerian law.

1. Who we are

"Caramink", "we", "our", and "us" refer to Caramink Beauty, a Nigerian beauty house operating from the Caramink studio. You can reach us at hello@caramink.com or +234 (0) 901 010 0123.

(Caramink will publish CAC, NAFDAC, HEFAMAA, and DPO registration numbers here as they are issued.)

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and able to enter into a contract under Nigerian law. Clinical services (infusions, microneedling, radio-frequency, tattoos, piercings) involve additional consent and screening at the studio.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Pricing & payments

  • All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦). A USD figure is shown for reference only and may not be the rate your card issuer applies.
  • Prices may change at any time; orders already placed are honoured at the price shown at checkout.
  • Payments are processed by our designated payment provider in line with applicable Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) rules. Caramink does not store full card numbers.
  • Receipts and invoices comply with Nigerian tax law.

5. Products & NAFDAC

Products sold through Caramink — including emu oil, activated charcoal, and any cosmetic or topical preparation — are subject to NAFDAC (National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control) oversight where applicable. Where a product requires NAFDAC registration to be marketed in Nigeria, we sell only NAFDAC-registered batches and display the registration on packaging.

6. Clinical services & practitioner regulation

Caramink clinical services are performed by practitioners registered with their relevant Nigerian regulator and at a facility registered with the relevant state health agency:

  • Doctors — registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and operating within their scope of practice.
  • Pharmacists — registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) for the handling and dispensing of pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Nurses administering IVs — registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) and supervised by an MDCN-registered physician.
  • Health facility — registered with HEFAMAA (Health Facilities Monitoring & Accreditation Agency) in Lagos State, or the equivalent agency where the studio operates.

We do not perform any service that requires a regulated practitioner unless that practitioner is on duty and on the premises.

7. Infusions and pharmaceutical preparations

  • Infusion preparations (glutathione, B-complex, Vitamin C, biotin, and the Glow Cocktail) are prescription-grade products dispensed by a PCN-registered pharmacist and administered under MDCN supervision.
  • We screen each client at consultation. We may decline an infusion if screening reveals a contraindication (e.g. pregnancy, certain allergies, untreated G6PD deficiency, sulfa allergy, active asthma flare, or current medication interactions).
  • Compounded or combination infusions are prepared only by the on-duty pharmacist and only from NAFDAC-registered base ingredients.
  • We do not offer skin-lightening protocols that violate NAFDAC guidance, including unsupervised at-home injectables, hydroquinone above the permitted concentration, or any preparation containing banned substances such as mercury.

8. Body modifications (tattoos, piercings, microneedling, RF)

  • These services are permanent or semi-permanent body modifications. Read and complete the studio consent form before the procedure.
  • All needles, cartridges, and ink are single-use sterile; jewelry is implant-grade titanium.
  • You agree to follow the aftercare we provide. Failure to follow aftercare may cause complications and may void any complimentary touch-up or replacement coverage.
  • We may decline service for safety reasons (e.g. recent sunburn, skin infection, certain medications, pregnancy, recent piercings near the treatment area).

9. Discount codes, memberships, and loyalty

  • Discount codes apply only when entered at checkout and only within their stated window, minimums, or use limits. One discount code per order unless we state otherwise.
  • Memberships bill once per cycle at the price displayed at signup. Member benefits — the stated discount %, points multiplier, and credits — apply only while the membership is active.
  • You may cancel a membership at any time before the next billing cycle by contacting us. Paid-up cycles are not refundable. Unused credits expire at the end of the cycle they were issued in unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Loyalty points have no cash value, may be revoked for misuse, and expire on terms we display in your account.

10. Bookings, cancellations, and refunds (consistent with FCCPA)

Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 (FCCPA) are not affected. In addition to those rights:

  • Bookings are confirmed by our concierge within 24 hours. Cancellations or reschedules made 24 hours or more before your appointment are free. Late cancellations or no-shows may forfeit the session fee.
  • Defective or damaged products — fully refundable or replaceable on return within 30 days under FCCPA s.122, at our cost.
  • Unopened, unused products — returnable within 30 days for a refund less shipping.
  • Opened products — non-refundable for hygiene reasons unless defective.
  • Services already performed — non-refundable. Where a result is materially below the published standard, contact us and we will work in good faith to remedy it.
  • We comply with FCCPC orders and customer-rights guidance issued from time to time.

11. Intellectual property

The Caramink name, logo, design, photography, and copy are owned by Caramink Beauty. You may not copy, modify, or use them without our written permission. Patient/customer photos (e.g. before/after) are only used externally with your explicit, separately-given consent.

12. User content

Anything you submit (reviews, photos, notes) you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use to operate the site and provide services. You confirm you have the right to share what you submit. We may remove user content that violates law or these terms.

13. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Misrepresent your identity, including providing false medical history that affects clinical decisions.
  • Attempt to break, scrape, or overload our systems.
  • Resell our products or services without written authorisation.
  • Use the site or services for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or close accounts for violations.

14. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law:

  • The storefront and services are provided "as is" without warranties beyond those required by the FCCPA.
  • Results from clinical services vary by individual and are not guaranteed.
  • Caramink's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

15. Termination

You may stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or for legitimate business reasons.

16. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the FCCPA 2018, the NDPA 2023, and any successor or implementing legislation. Disputes will be brought before the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria — without prejudice to your right to lodge a complaint with the FCCPC (for consumer matters) or the NDPC (for data protection matters).

17. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are flagged on the storefront and emailed to active customers. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
