Ancestral wisdom
Where the ritual comes from.
Cleanse, heal, smile, glow, mark — the five-step ritual is older than this atelier. Across West and East Africa, beauty is a practice rooted in shrines, kitchens, and grandmothers. Black soap from Ghana for the barrier. Shea from Burkina Faso for the seal. Coconut-shell charcoal for the teeth that hold the smile. Emu oil — our hero — carried from another continent, the same logic: a single oil, single-pressed, single-purpose. Tattoos and piercings done with the hand of a craftsperson, not a gun. Caramink is built on the same posture: few inputs, considered hands, ritualised time.
